Guarantee, Payment & Delivery

Here at Wolfgaard Armoury & Supply, we feel that every piece we produce represents us as artisans. If any of your purchases are defective, in regards to workmanship, we will repair or replace them (our choice) at our expense.

If, however, you decide to put a knife, or some such, through your piece, we will put a line of cross-stitch in it for a fee of $5 an inch. Leather is not indestructible, but for the most part, we'll fix whatever breaks. More often than not 20mins is usually enough to fix most problems. As for armour; rivets will pop during fighting. Bring or send in the piece and we'll replace the rivets at no charge.

In ALL cases, used, damaged or altered goods will not be accepted for return. This determination is always at our discretion. Repairs will not include shipping, and you must pay the shipping on exchanges, unless, of course, the error is ours.

As every piece is hand cut and crafted, items may differ slightly from the photos.

Customizations will alter the price of an item, and custom work, while adjustable after the fact, is not returnable.

Down Payment

A 50% deposit is required on ALL orders. You can send us any amount, but we will not start your piece until we have received this 50%. There will be NO REFUNDS on DEPOSITS, as it will be used to purchase your materials. If you change your mind your down payment will be remanded to a Wolfgaard Armoury & Supply store credit.

The remaining 50% is due at time of delivery.

All prices are subject to change without notice.

Payment Options

Always E-mail orders so we can print them and put them on the work list.

We also accept PAYPAL (contact us for info) and we always take a good check. Soon we will accept Master Card, VISA and DISCOVER.

Snail Mail us a money order. This gets the piece mailed once the money order is deposited.

Snail Mail us a personal check. This gets the piece mailed once the check is cleared.

Delivery

Delivery time for garb and accessories will average between 6-8 weeks, depending on current workload, more for custom orders. This is subject to change at any time or for any reason. The materials will sometimes arrive inferior and must be sent back, there could be a postal strike, anything could happen. We will keep you abreast should your time frame change dramatically.

Delivery time for armour depends on the piece, current workload, and possibly even more for custom orders (depending on the design). Remember these are all HANDMADE, utilizing no power equipment. This quality takes time!

Also the time of year plays a factor. Orders made in the late spring/summer/early fall will take longer than those made in the late fall/winter/early spring. During the former we are producing stock and working the faires on the weekends... Which means no production on the weekends... So the best time to order is in the months of December thru April.

Examples: (again these could elongate)

Helmet- 8-16 weeks

Bracers- 6-8 weeks

Breast & Back- 10-14 weeks

Fullsuit- 4-8 months (Helm, breast and back, arms, etc.)

Shipping

Shipping is almost always done via Priority Mail with the post office. If an order gets quite large or bulky we use UPS. The minimum shipping charge is $5, and covers most single items or multiple smaller items. We calculate shipping for each order and can tell you the amount once the order is placed.

Leather

Hard leather: Vegetable tanned 9-10oz heavier leather is available, email us for pricing.

Soft Leather: Deer, elk, cow, buffalo and now moose…

Note:

If you wish some kind of fur used in your project, you must provide us with the hide. If you bring us any endangered species pelt or substance, (and we don't care where you got it…) be warned that we will inform the EPA (after we take down your info for the order).

Wolfgaard Armoury and Supply will NOT consider using wolf hide in any project regardless of legality; it's a karma thing.

Care of your Wolfgaard Hard Leather Product

Chances are that your piece will get wet. Rain at faires and LARP are just a fact of life. It's OK. Just make sure that your piece does not dry in direct sunlight or near any substantial heat source. (i.e. radiator, Wood stove, the Pamela and Tommy video…)

Do feed your piece a diet of Neat's Foot Oil (hard leather) or Mink Oil (soft leather). Leather, as you know, is a skin. Living creatures exude oils to keep their skin supple. Well, now the leather is not producing oils so you have to supplement it. Don't drench the leather, but don't let it dry out either.

Don't leave your piece out in the weather! Rain, snow and sleet, while these won't ruin your piece at first, extended periods will. So don't leave your piece outside on top of the gas grill (or motorcycle, Alan!) for the winter. If you do, bring it in and we'll what we can to help it, but we won't replace it.

Don't leave your piece in direct sunlight for more than a day or so. Continual sunlight will fade the colors. Going to a faire and wearing your piece for the weekend is one thing, leaving on the back dash of your '77 camaro for all of December is another. Re-dying hard leather is relatively painless and you will be charged a nominal fee. Soft leather is a real bitch to re-dye, and it'll cost you. With either, sometimes all it takes is some Neat's Foot or mink oil to pop the colors back out.

Care of your Wolfgaard Garb

We don't line our clothes for three reasons. One, the sensuous feel of the soft leather…Well it's true. Why get leather if your just gonna line the damn thing? Two, the leather hangs naturally when unlined and looks better. And three, which some would argue is the most important reason, you can wash it in the washing machine.

Here's how:

Throw your garb in a garment bag. Put it in the washer on gentle in cold water. Use a mild detergent (We use Ivory Snow). Then let the piece air dry flat on a bed or floor on a dry towel. Guys, asks your girls how to treat a good sweater. Then hit it with Mink Oil. We don't recommend doing this more than twice a year. Unless you like take a dive in a mud pit or something…

If your garment has more than one color, consult with us before you wash it. Some colors will bleed.

Thank You
